You can help us in our work in a number of ways:
Sharing your knowledge and expertise
We would like to expand this site so that it covers more of the species of wild plants and animals that can be found in Chios, Oinousses and Psara. We know that in recent years the number of naturalists visiting 'our' islands to study their diverse wildlife has grown. If you are one of them we would welcome your comments or contributions. Tell us if you think we have made a misidentification. Send us the wildlife images you have captured on the islands, ideally with an identification and a short piece of writing on the subject.
Do some research and contribute an article
We have written our own short descriptions of each of the plants and creatures that are featured in our posters for schools, and outlined how they live. But our posters show only a small selection of the wildlife of the islands. There are many more interesting species that could have been included. Some of them are on our more species page. This is by no means complete. You can help to expand it. Anyone can join in… you don’t have to be an expert! Just choose an image and research the animal or plant. Or take your own photographs and send them to us. We will post the best images and pieces of writing.
